Yoga: A Boon During Pregnancy

Pregnancy can be a rave of hormones within your body accompanied by physical weakness and stress if not properly dealt with. Over the years it has been proven that yoga for pregnant women significantly reduces several negative impacts of pregnancy. Some benefits are as follows:

- Yoga helps you get more aligned to your body. It increases strength without stressing out the joints. It reduces lower back pain, tension in the hips, shoulders and other parts of the body. It calms the nervous system down and improves balance.

- Yoga reduces water retention, nausea, constipation, gas, etc. It also enables women to focus on certain body parts of the body in specific which helps during labour and child birth.

- Psychologically, yoga goes the long way in keeping mothers calm. It helps with depression, extreme stress, fatigue and helps in rejuvenation.

Similarly after childbirth, baby yoga helps the mother regain her pre pregnancy strength and fitness and strengthens the bond between the child and the mother.
